In 2011, the children of Gaza broke the world record for the largest number of kites flown simultaneously. On the coast of Gaza, 15,000 children filled the Gazan blue skies with messages of hope.
We are adding our voice to and raising awareness of the call for a ceasefire in the Gaza strip, to prevent further casualties and allow for humanitarian aid to the survivors of bombin
Kites will be available on the day in limited numbers, and a kite building workshop will be available for you to put your support in the air. Get in early to secure a kite for you and your family, or bring your own.
If I must die, you must live to tell my story to sell my things to buy a piece of cloth and some strings, (make it white with a long tail) so that a child, somewhere in Gaza while looking heaven in the eye awaiting his dad who left in a blaze— and bid no one farewell not even to his flesh not even to himself— sees the kite, my kite you made, flying up above and thinks for a moment an angel is there bringing back love If I must die let it bring hope let it be a tale
I want to attend
The event is free but attendance must register, if you want to buy a kit please get a ticket.
