Join us in Fremantle on Sunday, 15 June from 2–5pm at the Shoulder Room for Ode to Sirens, a powerful gathering of art, reflection, and resilience. As part of the event, Bukjeh will be sharing the film Motherhood in the Colony and a live session of Stories of Home, weaving together real experiences of displacement, motherhood, and belonging. Come sit with us, listen deeply, and be part of a space where stories carry the weight of survival and the light of hope.

For those who long for home , and want their children to feel it too.

Hakaya of Home is coming to Fremantle, and it’s more than just an event.
It’s a day to pause, breathe, and remember where we come from, all of us together.

For those who have lost home, left it behind, or are still trying to recreate it , this is for you.
For those raising children between languages, borders, and memories , this is for them too.

At the heart of Hakaya is Palestine , but wrapped around it are stories from many lands, told in many tongues, Stories of mothers and grandmothers. Of war and wonder. Of laughter, food, and survival.
