Book now

Join award-winning Palestinian artist Aseel Tayah for a powerful evening of film, storytelling, and healing , a night brought to you as a  collaboration between Bukjeh and the Shifa Project with the support of Shopfront Arts Co-Op.

Together, we’ll watch Aseel’s recently launched short film Motherhood in the Colony, a deeply moving collaboration between Bukjeh and Garuwa that brings together the voices of First Nations and Palestinian women who mother under occupation, displacement, and grief.

Following the screening, Aseel will lead a healing storytelling and reflection circle  a gentle and intentional space where we can speak our truths, honour our mothers, and remember that survival itself is a form of resistance.

This is more than a screening.
It’s a circle of witnessing, connection, and belonging.
Come with your heart open.
