An intimate evening of song, story, and shared belonging

Join Palestinian artist Aseel Tayah and two incredible musicians for a moving musical performance that weaves together stories of home, memory, and identity.

Through songs, personal stories, and the warmth of shared experience, Hakaya of Home invites you into a space of deep listening and cultural connection. Rooted in the voices of those who’ve had to leave home, carry it with them, or rebuild it from memory, this event celebrates the many meanings of home.

The evening also includes a screening of Motherhood in the Colony , a powerful short film created in collaboration with First Nations women, honouring the strength of mothers surviving under colonial systems.

Presented in collaboration with Shifa Project, this gathering is part performance, part reflection, and part community offering.

Expect an evening of:
🎶 Soulful songs in Arabic, English, and beyond
💬 Storytelling that spans generations and geographies
🤝 Gentle moments of audience collaboration
🎥 A powerful short film screening: Motherhood in the Colony
🌙 A space to reflect, connect, and feel held

Whether you come to listen or to share, Hakaya of Home is an invitation to sit together, to honour heritage, and to explore what it means to belong.

Pay what you can. All funds raised go directly to support Palestinian families at homeland
