Join us for a powerful community evening of food, film, music, storytelling, poetry and laughter. A night brought to you as a collaboration between Bukjeh and Illawarra-based group, Community for Humanity, working to support displaced families of Palestine.

Together, we will watch Bukjeh’s short film Motherhood in the Colony, a deeply moving collaboration between Bukjeh and Garuwa bringing together the voices of First Nations and Palestinian women who mother under occupation, displacement, and grief.

We will also unite around the voices of local artists and groups such as Steven Robinson, Shalani, Leaf Klevjer, Susie Fagan, Lillian Rodriguez-Pang, SinGongo, ZaffiLads and more.

This event will be more than a screening and performances.
We aim to create a circle of support, connection and belonging, uniting in our common quest for greater humanity.

Guests will have an opportunity to sample light finger food and delicacies on arrival and drinks will be available for purchase.

Funds raised through ticket sales and on the night will go towards displaced Palestinian families.
