Dayma – A fun and delicious intergenerational community engagement project and performance exhibition about food waste, culture and connection. A project that fosters a connection between young people and their elders, promoting cultural connection through storytelling, food sharing, and song, and championing sustainable food practices and reducing food waste. Dayma is an Arabic word used at the end of a meal. It means “May the feast always be there, forever.” This vision and blessing drive the heart of the project, which is about sustaining ourselves, each other, and our world through the simple act of sharing food, culture, and knowledge.
